Tropical Nexus: Integrating Science, Innovation and Sustainability

The Conference on Tropical Resources and Sustainable Sciences (CTReSS) has been successfully organized in six editions CTReSS 1.0, CTReSS 2.0, CTReSS 3.0, CTReSS 4.0, CTReSS 5.0, and CTReSS 6.0 by the Faculty of Earth Science (FSB), Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) in 2014, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024. We are delighted to share that our previous CTReSS publications are now available online.

On behalf of the organizing committee, we are honored to invite you to the 7th International Conference on Tropical Resources and Sustainable Sciences (CTReSS 7.0). Scheduled for August 12–13, 2025, this year’s conference is part of the FSB Global Outreach Initiative and will be hosted in a hybrid format, providing opportunities for both in-person and virtual participation. Join us as we bring together experts, researchers, and industry leaders to advance discussions on tropical resources and sustainable science.

We are excited to announce that CTReSS 7.0 will be elevated to new heights with the inclusion of three esteemed co-hosts: Universitas Muhammadiyah Riau (Indonesia), Reva University (India), and KL University (India), enhancing the conference experience and fostering greater collaboration. This year, the physical conference will be hosted at Universitas Muhammadiyah Riau, Indonesia, while also offering a hybrid format to ensure broad international participation. Bringing together academics, industry leaders, experts, and professionals from across the globe, CTReSS 7.0 will serve as a dynamic platform to explore sustainable solutions for responsible natural resource management from environmental, social, and economic perspectives

Objectives of CTReSS 7.0

CTReSS 7.0 provides a dynamic platform for academics, researchers, and stakeholders to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and present research findings on sustainable natural resource management, fostering impactful discussions on global environmental challenges.
The conference aims to bridge disciplines and sectors, reinforcing multidisciplinary research collaborations among local and international experts to drive innovative solutions for environmental sustainability and responsible resource management.
