Welcome to the 6th International Conference on Tropical Resources and Sustainable Sciences (CTReSS 6.0)

The first, second, third, fourth and fifth Conference on Tropical Resources and Sustainable Sciences (CTReSS, CTReSS 2.0, CTReSS 3.0, CTReSS 4.0 and CTReSS 5.0) was successfully organized by the Faculty of Earth Science (FSB), Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) in 2014, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023. We are delighted to share that our previous CTReSS publications are available online:

On behalf of the organizing committee, we would like to invite you to participate in the 6th International Conference on Tropical Resources and Sustainable Sciences (CTReSS 6.0). This year, CTReSS 6.0 will be organized on August 27-28, 2024, as part of FSB Global Outreach and will be held as a virtual conference.

The conference promises to be an exceptional gathering of academics, industry leaders, experts, and professionals from around the world to explore the issues of and solutions for wise natural resource management from the environmental, social, and economic perspectives. Our past conferences recorded an international participation rate of 24%, drawing attendees from Austria, China, India, Indonesia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and the Philippines. Our primary aim is to create an engaging platform where innovative ideas, best practices, and groundbreaking research findings can be shared, fostering collaboration and collective growth that transcends geographical boundaries.

The main objectives of CTReSS 6.0 are:

  • to provide a platform for local and international academics, researchers and stakeholders to share experiences and research findings in the context of sustainable natural resource management.
  • to reinforce multidisciplinary research collaboration towards environmental sustainability amongst academia, researchers, and stakeholders from within and outside the country.
